The Nightly Backflush
Every night, each group gets a detergent cycle and a rinse cycle with the blind basket locked in. Run it once here on the left group, then do the same on yours.
Blind basket, detergent cycle, rinse cycle, double basket back in. One group at a time, and never unlock while water is running.
The detergent cycle is running on group one. A colleague asks you to unlock that portafilter so they can pull one last coffee for a regular. What do you do?
Unlock it quickly between two pulses, while the pump gauge drops.
Let the cycle finish, and pull the coffee on group two.
Press the clean button again to stop the cycle, then unlock it.
While the cycle runs, hot water and detergent are under pressure in the blind basket. Unlocking now can spray both. Let the cycle finish, and use group two for the coffee in the meantime.
